5 random facts
Hey everyone! I wanted to share with you some random facts about me! Hopefully by the end you'll feel like you know me a little better. So here we go!
1. I was home-schooled for High School
I didn't attend a normal high school. I went to school, that while they had a campus, most of their classes that they offered were able to be done at home. I would meet with my teacher once a month for a progress update and to get my new assignments and that was it. I think this is where my desire to work at home came from. I loved that I was able to work at my own pace.
2. I graduated a year early
To tie into the first point, I graduated a year early. Because I could do the work at my own pace, I got ahead of it and was able to graduate when I was 17.
3. I Belly Dance
Most people know this about me, but for those that don't: I am a belly dancer. I have been belly dancing for well over 10 years now, but have only now recently started to dance in shows. I got into belly dancing by accident really. I was taking a health class that met right across from the dance room. After every class, I would walk by and see the students dancing and as the semester went on, they had such beautiful costumes. At the end of the semester, they held a dance concert for the dance class finals and when I say the belly dancers on stage, I knew I had to take the class. I enrolled the very next semester and the rest is history!
4. I took care of my Grandpa
I'm noticing a pattern! But because I was home-schooled, I was able to be at home with my Grandpa and look after him after his stroke. I would make sure he ate, took his medications and help him when he needed it. I'm glad I was able to do that right up until the day he passed away.
5. I love video games
Random I know, but not a lot of people know that I play video games. I grew up with Atari and Nintendo. Those are some of my best memories. While I don't have as much time to play, you can still sometimes catch me playing games on my Nintendo Switch.
I hope this helps you to get to know me better. I'm looking forward to being on this journey with you guys!
Stay Soulful!
